At the Lisa Ross Birth and Women's Center, we specialize in caring for women with low risk, normal pregnancies. We believe in educating you and your family about the normal changes of pregnancy and signs to watch for so that you can be an active and empowered participant in your own healthcare. We encourage family and friends to be a part of prenatal care, and we enjoy having them attend prenatal visits with you, if desired.

Our Certified Nurse-Midwives provide prenatal care, labor and delivery, and post-partum care. Our three birth options include birth center birth, waterbirth, and hospital birth.

The Lisa Ross Birth and Women’s Center provides Birth Center and Waterbirth options as an alternative to traditional hospital based labor and delivery experiences. Patients that deliver at our Center are given the opportunity to have the birth that they want in a home-like setting.

Our laboring moms enjoy the following:

• Freedom to move around during labor
  
• The use of hydrotherapy (waterbirth tub, bathtub, or shower)
  
• The ability to eat and drink throughout labor
  
• Support for creating your own personal environment
  (pictures, personal items, music, clothes, etc.)
  
• No routine separation of mother and baby after birth

In addition, we provide a hospital-based delivery option at St. Mary’s Hospital. Women choosing a hospital birth receive prenatal care at the Center and are attended in labor by one of our Certified Nurse-Midwives at the hospital.
